Every year this newspaper called The Forward publishes an issue about genetics. And every year the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund places an advertisement in the paper with your picture to let people know about FA. This is the ad that ran a week ago. When I bought the paper I was really excited to see the ad. But when I opened up the page and saw your picture I burst out crying. Sobbing. Wow, I wasn't expecting to do that. I was in a restaurant picking up some lunch. I'm glad no-one else was waiting for carry-out.

Mom and I wanted to come see you yesterday (I think it is a little strange that we call it coming to see you) but Jack wasn't ready. He wasn't feeling well and I think that he didn't want to get too sad.

I forgot to tell you. Jack's teacher for First Grade is Mrs. Singer! School starts tomorrow. I am excited for Jack to start First Grade, but I know at the same time it will be really hard for him and for me and Mom. We are all going to see the new building tonight. I wonder if the Henry Garden is there now or if that is coming later.

I was watching Blue's Clues with Joe and Jack yesterday. Blue's favorite thing about school was circle time. It got me thinking about that chair with the back you sat in on the floor for circle time.

Oh, I love you so much. I need you.
